Gemma           What did you do?

John                Oh, I just went into town on Saturday and got a DVD. What about you?
 

Gemma           I played basketball at the sports centre yesterday. It was fun. When did you 

                        last play basketball?
 

John               I don't know, maybe two weeks ago.

Gemma           How was it?

John                Very good. Let's play next weekend.

Gemma           OK, great. See you then. 

John                Bye, Gemma. See you later.

Laura         Yes, in a minute. I'm busy at the moment.

Mum          Come on, Laura. What are you doing?

Laura         I'm watching something on TV. It's really good.

Mum          Laura!!! You need to tidy your room now!

Laura         Please, Mum! Is ti OK if I do it later?

Mum          I suppose so, but don't forget to do it!

Leah        What?

Shaun     This basketball T-shirt. What do you think of it?

Leah        Not much, why?

Shaun     Don't you like it? I think it's really nice.

Leah        Well, it's OK, I suppose. But what about this hat? It's very fashionable.

Shaun     No, I don't think much of that. I can't stand that colour.

Leah        Oh, well, we can't all have good taste!

A MEMORABLE DAY

I remember my fifth birthday, eight years ago. It was really fun!

First, my cousins went to my house. At 11 o'clock we went to the park for playing. After that we returned to my house and we had the lunch. I blow the candles on my big chocolate cake. It's really tasters!

Then my parents give me the presents. My favorite present is a very big teddy bear.

There were about nine people at my birthday. I remember my cousin clearly because she had a really strange dress. It was a really fun day and I felt very happy.

MY IDEAL HOME

1 Here we are in my ideal home. It’s a modern house near the centre of the town. It’s very big, and it’s got everything. It’s got five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. The living room has got a nice balcony and you can see the lake of the town from it.

2 On an ideal afternoon in my ideal home we’re all here. My mum and dad are sitting in the living room. They’re watching a film on TV. My cousin is in my bedroom, I’ve got a new computer and she meets her friend on the internet. And I swim in the swimming pool on my big garden outside the house.

3 My favorite room is the living room. It’s got three big sofas and a really modern TV. I like this room because I can relax and watch DVDs in it.
